Indian whisky, a spirit with a unique identity, embarks on a remarkable odyssey that blends tradition and innovation. While inspired by the time-tested processes of Scotch whisky production, it carves its path, incorporating distinct Indian grains and flavors. Our Anytime Whisky journey starts with the basics: grains! We use plump barley (sometimes other grains too) grown under the warm Indian sun. But these grains need a little prep work before they become superstars.

Waking Up the Flavor:

We soak the grains in cool water, helping them sprout a bit, like tiny plants waking up. This unlocks hidden sugars inside the grain, making them superstars in the flavor department! We then dry them carefully to stop the sprouting at the right time.

Sweet Water Party:

Time for a fun step! The awakened grains join a hot water bash in a giant vat. As they swirl together, the water pulls out all the delicious sugars, creating a sweet, golden liquid called wort – the heart of our whisky. Think of it as a giant bowl of sunshine-flavored punch!

The Bubbly Feast:

The party keeps going! We introduce tiny yeast friends to the wort. These little guys love sugar and throw a giant, bubbly feast. As they munch away, they turn the wort into a young and lively spirit. Imagine millions of tiny cheers happening right there!

Refining the Spirit:

Our young spirit is full of potential, but a bit rough around the edges. We use a special process called distillation to smooth it out. Picture a giant pot heated just enough to coax out the good stuff. The alcohol and other tasty flavors rise as a vapor, leaving the rest behind. This vapor travels through a maze of copper coils, which helps remove unwanted elements, leaving a cleaner, purer spirit. Finally, the cooled vapors condense back into a liquid – our precious distillate! But not all of it is created equal. The first bit (“heads”) is a little harsh, and the last bit (“tails”) has some unwanted things too. We only want the “heart cut” – the purest and most flavorful part. This heart cut forms the base of our Anytime Whisky.

Sleeping in Spicy Wood:

The young spirit needs a long rest, so we tuck it into cozy beds made of oak barrels. These aren’t just any barrels – they used to hold things like bourbon or sherry, and they share some of their flavor with the spirit while it sleeps. Imagine getting cozy with a friend who smells amazing!

Time Does the Magic:

Over time, something incredible happens. The spirit wakes up smoother and richer, with a beautiful amber color. It’s like a slow makeover by the magic of time! The flavors from the cozy oak barrels infuse the spirit, creating a complex and delightful character.
